More Than Modes Privacy Policy

At More Than Modes, musicians' privacy is our priority. This app is designed to work mainly on your device, keeping data collection to what is strictly needed to run and improve it.

1. Information we collect

The app requires no sign-up and no user account. We use three Google Firebase services:

Service	What it collects	Why
Google Analytics for Firebase	Aggregated interactions with the app: which screens are opened, how long they are used, which screen the app is closed on, and whether the purchase screen was shown. Includes an installation identifier and basic device information (model, OS version, language and approximate country derived from the IP address).	To understand which features are actually used, so we can improve them and stop maintaining the ones that are not.
Firebase Crashlytics	Crash reports: where in the program the failure happened, the device model, the OS version and an installation identifier.	To find and fix failures we would otherwise never hear about.
Firebase Remote Config	Anonymous device identifiers, to deliver the correct configuration.	To manage technical information and interface elements, such as pricing or promotion notices.

2. What we do NOT collect

Your device's advertising identifier. Its collection is explicitly disabled in the app.
Names, email addresses or personally identifiable information.
The content you create. Lyrics, songs, chord progressions, practice sessions and recordings stay on your device only. They are never uploaded to any server or transmitted to us.
Microphone audio. It is processed on the device itself, in real time, and is not sent anywhere.

3. Permissions and hardware use

Microphone: used exclusively for the tuner and real-time audio recording features.
Local storage: recorded audio is stored only in your device's private memory. We do not upload your recordings to the cloud.
File access: lets you import your own audio tracks to use as backing tracks inside the app.

4. In-app purchases

The Pro purchase is handled entirely by Google Play. We never receive or store your payment details: the app only asks Google Play whether the purchase is active.

5. Security and data transfer

All communication between the app and Firebase services uses encrypted protocols (HTTPS). Google acts as a service provider on our behalf. We do not share, sell or transfer any information to third-party companies for advertising or tracking purposes.

6. Advertising

More Than Modes does not integrate third-party ad networks (such as AdMob). In-app notices are purely informational about the app's own features.

7. Your rights

We do not store user profiles or personally identifiable information on our servers, and the content you create never leaves your device.

Deleting usage and diagnostic data: you can request deletion of the analytics and crash data associated with your installation by writing to the contact address below. We handle these requests within 30 days.
Uninstalling the app stops all data collection completely.
Your files: recordings and saved projects can be deleted from within the app or from your device's file manager.

8. Children

More Than Modes is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

9. Changes to this policy

If what the app collects changes in the future, we will update this page and the date at the top before releasing the corresponding version.
